Rich Polk Rob Reiner received a heartfelt tribute during Monday’s Emmy Awards, with folk singer Noah Kahan leading a strings-backed rendition of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water” during the In Memoriam section as actress Jamie Lee Curtis invoked Reiner’s “All in the Family” character to commemorate his life.
“Last year we lost another cherished legend, our beloved ‘Meathead,’ Rob Reiner,” a teary Curtis told the audience as she closed out the In Memoriam section. “He was generous and kind and funny as hell and a friend to all.”
