‘Project Hail Mary’ Sets Streaming Release Date

“Project Hail Mary,” the film adaptation of Andy Weir’s best-selling novel, is finally coming to streaming. It will release on MGM+ on June 18. The most affordable way to stream the film is through Prime Video’s MGM+ add-on, with a free trial.

Creative duo Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, whose previous films include “The Lego Movie” and “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” directed the film with a script from Drew Goddard. This marks Goddard’s second Weir adaptation, having worked on the 2015 film adaptation of “The Martian.” When asked about working with the directorial pair, Goddard stated that they “thrive in finding the humanity inside of these crazy characters,” something this film required.
