Cinespia, the L.A.-based outdoor cinematic experience, will screen crowd favorites such as “Practical Magic,” “The Mummy,” and Mia Goth’s “X” and “Pearl” as part of its 25th-anniversary lineup. Held at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Cinespia is presented by Amazon MGM Studios and Prime Video. Additional screenings through the month of August include “Coming to America” and a 40th anniversary showing of “Labyrinth.” “The films we’re showcasing this month have earned their place in the cultural conversation because they continue to resonate across generations,” said Cinespia founder John Wyatt. “Bringing these stories back to the big screen in a communal setting is at the heart of what Cinespia has always been about.” Attendees can enjoy lively sets before and after each screening from Cinespia’s signature DJs, along with a free photo booth, a wine bar and concession stands throughout the evening. Cinespia has also partnered with See’s Candies in honor of their 25th and 105th respective anniversaries for a specially branded candy box sold exclusively at Cinespia screenings. Aug. 1 – “Practical Magic” “Sisters are brewing it for themselves in the beloved and bewitching classic. Hex marks the spot for sisters Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman as unlucky-in-love witches. Our annual slumber party is back and gloriously blood-soaked with horror’s reigning scream queen on the big screen in ‘X’ and ‘Pearl.’ Part adult-film fever dream, part technicolor psychodrama, these cult favorites have ‘wtf’ written all over them, in the best way possible.
