Pete Davidson used fellow comedian Tony Hinchcliffe to take shots at Charlie Kirk and Kanye West during Netflix’s The Roast of Kevin Hart on Sunday night.

“Tony Hinchcliffe’s here looking like both a child molester and the doll they give the child to show where he touched them,” Davidson said as he put his fellow comedian in the hot seat during the three-hour special. “Tony reminds me of Charlie Kirk, in that he’s definitely been on camera letting a guy unload in his throat,” Davidson followed up, as the audience response suggested it’s too early for jokes about the late Turning Point USA leader, who was fatally shot during a speech at Utah Valley University in September. The bullet appeared to strike Kirk’s neck.

“Oh, you don’t know me? Yeah. Yeah. Kill Tony! Please. Someone fucking kill Tony!” Davidson added in a reference to Kill Tony, the popular weekly podcast co-hosted by Hinchcliffe. Davidson was cracking jokes about Hinchcliffe and others on the panel, including Lizzo, Chelsea Handler and Jeff Ross.

“Tony, nothing you say tonight will hurt my feelings. I was in a beef with Kanye, so I’ve taken shots from better gay Nazis,” Davidson joked. The SNL star also took aim at Hart, as he joked at one point: “What can you say about Kevin that hasn’t already been yelled out by a guy with Tourette’s at the BAFTAs?”

Davidson then thanked Hart as he closed off his roast participation: “I love you very much. You’ve always been super nice to me. … You’re a very hardworking person, and when it’s all said and done, in the comedy world, it’s most important to be remembered.”

ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel saw his eponymous late-night talk show briefly suspended from the network in the fall after comments he made about Kirk’s murder, which led to threats from FCC chairman Brendan Carr, who has since launched an early review of ABC parent Disney’s broadcast licenses. As a streaming outlet, Netflix doesn’t face the same FCC restrictions.
