Palm Royale and Poker Face Apple TV+; Ralph Bavaro/PEACOCK A number of canceled series are still being celebrated at this year’s Emmys, with Palm Royale, Poker Face, Ponies, Stumble and Gen V all receiving nominations on Wednesday morning.
Palm Royale, the Apple TV comedy starring Kristen Wiig, Carol Burnett and Laura Dern, was canceled in March following its second season, but landed eight nods at this year’s awards, with recognition for production design, choreography, costumes, makeup, hairstyling, music composition, stunt coordination and stunt performance.
Poker Face — scrapped at Peacock after two seasons, as series creator Rian Johnson then looked to take the show elsewhere with Peter Dinklage taking over as lead actor — was also nominated for stunt coordination. Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson-starrer Ponies, canceled after a single season at Peacock, was recognized for title design.

Canceled NBC comedy Stumble was also nominated for choreography and Gen V, the spinoff of The Boys that focuses on college students with superpowers, was canceled after two seasons at Prime Video and received a nod for special effects.
Elsewhere in this year’s nominations, The Pitt leads as the most-nominated show overall as well as topper of the drama category with 25 nods, followed by Hacks with 24 (setting the record for most comedy nominations in a single year), Widow’s Bay (with 19), Pluribus (with 18) and Beef (with 16).
The 78th Emmy Awards, hosted by Mariska Hargitay, will air Monday, Sept. 14 from the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles, live on NBC and streaming on Peacock. The Creative Arts Emmy Awards, where many of the below-the-line honors are presented, will take place on Saturday, Sept. 5 and Sunday, Sept. 6.
