Abdalla and Kalyn will narrate a three-episode immersive audio romance Rent Free, the Quinn app announced Wednesday. The Quinn Original “follows two complete opposites — Nora (Abdalla), a feisty, charismatic, no-nonsense painter living in New York City, and Jack (Kalyn), a cocky, infuriatingly charming former jock turned investment banker — as they navigate post-college growing pains in close proximity.”

The synopsis reads: “Within the span of twenty-four hours, Nora’s life implodes. She gets cheated on, loses her apartment, and suddenly has nowhere to go. With no other options, she moves in with Jack — her best friend’s older brother. Jack’s life is built on routine: work, the gym, casual hookups, repeat. But Nora’s arrival throws everything off balance. What starts as a temporary arrangement quickly turns into something far more complicated, and things get messy — fast.”
The romance narration comes amid Abdalla and Kalyn becoming a breakout fan-favorite couple of the Prime Video hockey romance series Off Campus. In the series, Abdalla and Kalyn star as Allie and Dean, whose secret no-strings-attached fling results in growing feelings and a brewing deeper romance to be explored in season two.
“Our users instantly responded to the chemistry between Mika and Stephen on screen,” Caroline Spiegel, founder and CEO of Quinn, said in a statement. “The connection they bring to this story feels electric, intimate, and real — they were the perfect pairing for this kind of immersive duet experience.”
One of most viral moments from the first season was Abdalla’s Allie wearing a recreation of Jennifer Lopez’s iconic plunging green Versace dress for a Halloween party. After seeing her dancing to Lopez’s 2011 hit “Get on the Floor,” Kalyn’s Dean, dressed in a Top Gun: Maverick costume, joins her on the dance floor where notable sparks fly.
The viral moment has even caught the attention of Lopez who shared an Instagram video of herself dancing alongside Abdalla as the two recreated the scene. Lopez has also praised the show online, followed the entire cast on social media and made an “Allie Playlist” on Spotify that includes her hit song.
To tease Abdalla and Kalyn’s narration, Quinn used Lopez’s “On the Floor” while showing hockey gear and a Top Gun pilot suit that pans to clothes that resemble Allie’s wardrobe.

Abdalla and Kalyn are the latest stars the Quinn app has recruited to narrate their steamy stories. Other stars who have also lent their voices include Chris Briney, Andrew Scott, Manny Jacinto, Tom Blyth, Jamie Campbell Bower, Victoria Pedretti, Jesse Williams, Lucien Laviscount, Thomas Doherty, Katherine Moennig, Heated Rivarly stars Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, Costa D’Angelo, Tyriq Withers, Shawn Hatosy and Sam Heughan.
Rent Free is the second Quinn Originals duet production, following Ember & Ice, narrated by Heated Rivarly’s Williams and Storrie.
