The Traitors is safe at the roundtable for a few more years. Peacock has ordered another three seasons of the award-winning reality series, the streamer announced Wednesday.

The Alan Cumming-hosted hit series, which had already been renewed through season five, is set to return in January for that season, meaning fans of the show are in for at least four more seasons. Cumming has signed on to return as host. He recently scored his third consecutive Emmy win for outstanding host for a reality or reality competition program.

The series itself made Emmy history with seven wins for its most recent season, the most in a single year for any competition series. It snagged best reality competition program, best host, best directing for a reality program, best production design for a variety or reality series, best cinematography for a reality program, best costumes for variety, nonfiction or reality programming and best picture editing for a structured reality or reality competition program.

The Traitors — based on a Dutch format — is a competition where contestants are split into two categories: Faithfuls and Traitors. All 23 contestants will start as Faithfuls before Cumming decides which (typically) three players will become Traitors. The titular role then works to sneak past the rule-following players who are attempting to figure out who the Traitors are while choosing a Faithful player each night to “murder.” Studio Lambert produces the series, which utilizes reality TV stars and other media personalities for its contestant pool.

Its fourth season, which found Love Island U.S. alum Rob Rausch as its victor, scored the show its biggest ratings to-date, according to Peacock. Viewership was reported to have surged 72 percent over the prior season.

In the wake of The Traitors success, NBC is set to debut the civilian version of the series, The Traitors: New Blood, which premieres Thursday (Sept. 17) and streams next day on Peacock.
