Getty Images/Penguin Random House Amazon MGM Studios’ adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks bestseller “Counting Miracles” has found its writer/director in “The Peanut Butter Falcon” co-filmmaker Tyler Nilson.
Starring Alan Ritchson, “Counting Miracles” follows Army Ranger Tanner Hughes (Ritchson) as he crosses the country comforting the families of fallen soldiers until a mysterious letter sends him searching for the father he never knew. His journey leads him to a small town, where a blossoming romance with a doctor and single mother of two draws him into the life of a reclusive old man with a haunting past. As their lives become unexpectedly intertwined, Tanner is forced to confront the truth of who he is — and discover where he truly belongs.
