The actor, comedian and former roast-master has volunteered to be the subject of Netflix‘s next live roast special.
The Roast of Kevin Hart will air on the final night of the streamer’s annual Netflix is a Joke festival on May 10.
Comedian Shane Gillis — who also has a Netflix scripted comedy series Tires — is confirmed to host the evening.
The last Netflix roast was 2024’s roast of NFL legend Tom Brady, which earned 26 million views and spent 3 weeks in the streamer’s global Top 10.
There’s no word yet on the other participating comics for the roast.
The Netflix is a Joke Fest takes place May 4–10 in Los Angeles and includes 350 live events, including stand-up performances, variety shows, comedy podcasts, tapings, exclusive events, and screenings. Festival exclusive events include Night of Too Many Stars — a stand-up, variety, and music telethon to benefit NEXT for Autism — hosted by Jon Stewart, a taping of Nate Bargatze’s upcoming Netflix comedy special, and a Shane Gillis and Friends event at the Hollywood Bowl.
Next up for Hart is a re-boot of Barbershop as a Prime Video series.
