Between price hikes and the constant flow of movies and TV shows on and off various streaming services, it’s no surprise that there’s a devoted community of collectors committed to physical media. Nowhere is that more evident than in the fanbase around the Criterion Collection, which restores and reissues acclaimed classics and arthouse films.

And while their titles tend to command a premium, the Criterion Collection is currently running a sitewide 30% off sale on all discs, including box sets, 4K releases, and preorders. The deal also trickled down to other retailers, including Amazon and Barnes & Noble, which are running some of the same deals as the Criterion Collection.

Criterion Collection is perhaps best known for releasing arthouse classics, but it also distributes plenty of recent films, including 2025 titles like Sentimental Value, Resurrection, and It Was Just an Accident. The 30% off sale is the best chance to save on everything Criterion sells, but it’s not the only sale of the year. Barnes & Noble runs an annual 50% off sale, typically twice a year. But if you don’t want to wait — or if you’re stocking up on discs for your movie buff dad — the 30% off sale is well worth taking advantage of. The deal ends on May 25.
