More video game playtime and revenue is now coming from games beyond the top 20 most popular PC games, according to a new report from Newzoo.

For PC, 56% of Western-based revenue came from games ranked outside the top 20 last year, up from 48% in 2022.

PC saw a jump from 33% of playtime across games outside the 20 most popular in 2022 to 42% in 2025, with smaller but similar shifts taking place on PlayStation and Xbox.
