CCTV footage shows the moment a high school principal tackles an active shooter in Oklahoma.

The suspected gunman, Victor Hawkins, walked into Pauls Valley High School and fired shots during the incident on 7 April.

Principal Kirk Moore, is then seen charging toward the former student and tackling him, before another staff member arrives and removes the gun from his hand.

Principal Moore was shot in the leg during the incident, but has since been released from hospital.

Hawkins was arrested on the scene, and now faces two counts of pointing a firearm, one count of shooting with intent to kill, and two counts of unlawful carrying.
