The Enola Holmes and Stranger Things star and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, have welcomed their second child together through adoption, according to a source who confirmed the news to People.
The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to Brown’s reps for comment.
The news comes just over a year after the young couple — Brown, 22, and Bongiovi, 24 — welcomed their first child, a daughter, also via adoption.

“This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy,” the actress wrote in an Instagram post in August 2025. “And then there were 3.”
The couple have been together since 2021 and married in May 2024, with Brown’s Stranger Things co-star Matthew Modine officiating their wedding.
Brown previously opened up about her desire to start a family young while speaking with Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett on their SmartLess podcast in March 2025. She said she wanted to follow in her parents’ footsteps and have a big family, a vision she shared with Bongiovi, the son of singer Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Hurley.
“My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. It’s been my thing since before I met Jake,” Brown said. “Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like, baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me.”
She added, “My thing was, I really want a family. I really want a big family. I’m one of four. He’s one of four. It is definitely in our future. But, for me, I don’t see having your own child as really any different as in adopting.”
Brown rose to fame playing Eleven on Netflix’s hit Stranger Things, beginning the series at just 11 years old. The fifth and final season was released in three parts and concluded in late 2025.
Her most recent project, Enola Holmes 3, was released by Netflix in July. She is also set to reunite with her Stranger Things co-star David Harbour in an upcoming Netflix spy drama series from Adolescence writer Jack Thorne.
