Megan Thee Stallion will miss Wednesday’s performances of Moulin Rouge! The Musical.

“The role of Zidler will not be played by Megan Thee Stallion at the April 1st performance at 2 p.m.,” reads a message on ATG Tickets, confirming that the rapper won’t appear in the following show after her hospitalization.

On Wednesday morning, Stallion’s rep shared a statement with The Hollywood Reporter, which reads: “On Tuesday evening, Megan was transported to a local hospital to undergo a medical evaluation after experiencing concerning symptoms. Doctors ultimately identified extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction and low metabolic levels as the cause of her symptoms. Megan has since been treated, discharged and is now resting.”

The statement continued: “Megan is incredibly grateful for the prayers and well-wishes from her supporters and is looking forward to resuming her role as Zidler on Moulin Rouge on Thursday.”

The news comes after THR confirmed that Stallion was hospitalized in New York City after falling ill during a performance of Moulin Rouge! and exiting the show mid-performance.

THR also reached out to Moulin Rouge! The Musical for comment.

Tuesday’s show apparently began as normal, with the Grammy-winning artist appearing in opening scenes, but was stopped midway. Theater officials apologized to audience members, asking them to “stay inside and seated.” Stallion then exited and was reportedly replaced by another performer for the remainder of the show, according to a post on X.

Stallion made her debut in the jukebox musical last week at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. She plays the role of The Zidler, marking her Broadway debut and. Stallion is also the first woman to have performed the role. The show has also included the singer performing her hit songs “Savage” and “Body.”
