Fox’s The Masked Singer and Peacock’s The Traitors won the juried award for best costumes for variety, nonfiction or reality programming. Two episodes of Genndy Tartakovsky’s Primal (“Kingdom of Sorrow” and “Vengeance of Death”), on Adult Swim, were among the winners in the outstanding individual achievement in animation category.
Other individual achievement in animation winners are Disney+’s Eyes of Wakanda (“Into the Lion’s Den”) and Star Wars: Visions (“The Duel: Payback”) as well as Prime Video’s The Mighty Nein “Mote of Possibility.”

The Emmys also awarded outstanding innovation in emerging media programming to Meta Quest’s virtual reality experience Crafting Crimes from developer TARGO. There was no Emmy awarded in the category of outstanding motion design.
The juried awards will be presented during the 2026 Creative Arts Emmys, set for Sept. 5 and 6, from the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live.
Jury category submissions are screened by a panel of professionals in the relevant peer group (animation, costume design, emerging media programming and motion and title design) with the possibility of one, more than one or none of the entries winning Emmys.
After the Creative Arts Emmys, where the majority of the Emmy trophies are handed out, the Emmys telecast is set for Monday, Sept. 14, live on NBC and Peacock starting at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT from the Peacock Theater. Mariska Hargitay is hosting the NBC ceremony.
Going into 78th annual Emmys, with voting for the winners running from Aug. 17-26, The Pitt leads this year’s nominees with 25 nods, followed by Hacks with 24 nominations, a record for a comedy series, and Widow’s Bay with 19 nods, leading all new shows.
