Maren Morris Ralph Bavaro/NBCUniversal via Getty Images Maren Morris shared a new song, “Parachute,” written and recorded for CBS drama series Sheriff Country. The track will appear in tonight’s episode of the show, which also features Morris’ acting debut.
“Parachute” was produced by Morris’ longtime collaborator Jimmy Robbins, and centers on themes of themes of renewal, self-forgiveness, and emotional rebirth.
“Writing ‘Parachute’ was a really cathartic experience for me,” Morris said in a statement. “Tapping into the forgiveness of oneself is such an underrated emotion written about. The fact that it will soundtrack the episode I’m acting in is even more emotional. I had the best day on set and can’t wait to see this titular episode of a stellar first season of Sheriff Country.”
