Sinqua Walls is the latest actor to join Man of Tomorrow, the Superman sequel filming in Atlanta. His character details are being kept in a lead-lined safe.

DC Studios had no comment on his casting.

Walls came up on the 2000s TV classic Friday Night Lights and recently starred in the Peacock limited series Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist, along with Kevin Hart, Samuel L. Jackson, Taraji P. Henson and Don Cheadle.

On the film side, he led the Hulu remake of White Men Can’t Jump, opposite Jack Harlow, and appeared in the Netflix hit Carry-On as the best friend to Taron Egerton’s TSA agent, as well as horror comedy The Blackening. In 2022, he starred opposite Brian Cox as a veteran in the drama feature Mending the Line.

Man of Tomorrow is writer-director James Gunn’s follow-up to last year’s Superman. David Corenswet returns as Superman, while Nicholas Hoult is back as Lex Luthor, with the enemies teaming up to take on the threat of Brainiac (Lars Eidinger).

Adria Arjona is joining the franchise, while Lanterns star Aaron Pierre is on the call sheet, along with Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen), Sara Sampaio (Eve Teschmacher), Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl), Nathan Fillion (Guy Gardner) and Edi Gathegi (Mister Terrific).

The film has a release date of July 9, 2027, and follows 2026 DC titles Supergirl and Clayface, as well as the TV series Lanterns, due out later this year.

Walls is repped by WME, Nava Artists and Jackoway Austen.
