People across the country are preparing to celebrate America’s 250th birthday this weekend — a process that has been made more challenging as event organizers scramble to deal with the extreme heat.

President Trump is headed to South Dakota late on Friday, where he’s expected to make remarks at the Mount Rushmore National Memorial and ahead of the landmark’s fireworks show in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on Friday warned of an Iranian response if the U.S. and Israel breach the interim peace deal. The caution comes as Tehran prepares to bury its former supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed on the first day of airstrikes in the conflict.
