The Supreme Court is due to release orders and some of its final opinions on Monday morning, days after delivering wins for the Trump administration in major rulings on immigration.

President Trump said Monday on Truth Social that Iran has requested a meeting, set for Tuesday in Doha. Iran says no meeting is scheduled, according to The Associated Press. Earlier Monday, Iran’s president said $6 billion in frozen Iranian assets would be released by Qatar.
A U.S. official told The Hill on Sunday that the U.S. and Iran have agreed to “stand down for now” and allow ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz after the countries exchanged strikes over the weekend, threatening a shaky ceasefire agreement. GOP Rep. Mark Harris (N.C.) said Congress will likely need to provide the Pentagon with additional funding for the Iran war via a budget reconciliation package.
GOP lawmakers fear Trump is out of sync with them and many American voters on the economy, the biggest issue of the 2024 midterm elections. Trump’s refusal to sign the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act is the latest troubling sign for GOP senators, who have pressed Trump for weeks to pay more personal attention to voters’ concerns about rising costs.
Trump is expected to sign executive orders today at 3 p.m.
The House convenes at 2 p.m. The Senate is out.
