Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan and Rep. Angie Craig are duking it out in Tuesday’s Democratic primary for Minnesota Senate after Sen. Tina Smith (D) opted to retire.
Flanagan, a progressive, notched the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party endorsement as well as support from Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Elizabeth Warren. Craig, meanwhile, is backed by House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca.).
On the other side of the aisle, former NFL reporter Michele Tafoya leads the back for the GOP nomination.
