Pamela Evette and Attorney General Alan Wilson are duking it out Tuesday in the Republican runoff to succeed South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster (R).
Wilson secured a last minute endorsement from the president, who previously supported Evette ahead of the state’s June 9 primary. Evette is backed by McMaster.
“I can’t hurt one of them by only Endorsing the other, so therefore, I am going to Endorse, for Governor of South Carolina, both Pam Evette and Alan Wilson!” Trump wrote on social media Friday. “It’s a Wealth of Riches – With either one you can’t go wrong.” The winner from Tuesday’s election will face state Rep. Jermaine Johnson (D) in November.
