Nam Y. Huh, Associated Press From left, Wisconsin Democratic gubernatorial candidates Mandela Barnes, Joel Brennan, David Crowley, Francesca Hong and Kelda Roys attend a primary debate in Milwaukee, on July 28, 2026. Voters in the Badger State are at the polls Tuesday to weigh in on the race to succeed Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers (D).
Democratic socialist Francesca Hong, a state representative, leads the Democratic field, which includes Evers-backed Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley and others. Republican Rep. Tom Tiffany faces no serious opposition in his primary.
The contest has put the ongoing battle between the Democratic establishment and left-flank of the party front and center, as some Democrats argue Hong would struggle to win statewide office in the battelground state.
Polls close at 9 p.m. EDT. Follow Decision Desk HQ’s live results below.
