Lili Reinhart says a male director once told her to “suck in her stomach a little bit” while on set.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan alongside her Forbidden Fruits co-stars, the actress was asked to recall an “acting note” she “took personally.”

“When I had a male director come up to me and silently lean over and go, ‘Just suck in your stomach a little bit,’” Reinhart said, which made her co-stars gasp.

“Oh my God! What is his name?,” Victoria Pedretti said to which Reinhart said she would tell them later.

Lili Reinhart Reveals Endometriosis Diagnosis

Despite Alexandra Shipp encouraging Reinhart to “say his name,” Reinhart kept mum. She also did not reveal the project she was filming on when the comment was allegedly made.

“Time for a hex,” Lola Tung also said in response.

Reinhart has been publicly open about her struggles with body dysmorphia and an eating disorder. In an interview with Self magazine last year, Reinhart revealed that during the filming of season six of the CW’s Riverdale, she experienced several health issues and weight gain, which prompted an eating disorder.

“I really don’t like looking at season six imagery or pictures, because I know that 99 percent of my thoughts were about my body,” the actress told the publication at the time. “I was a thousand percent just disassociated through that entire day or scene because my entire inner dialogue is just … ‘Your body’s changing.’”

In a 2022 social media post, Reinhart opened up about how “challenging” it is “to look at your body with love instead of criticism,” which was something she was “still learning” at the time. Last December, the actress shared her endometriosis diagnosis.
