Courtesy of SSIFF Lesley Manville battles snow and spies in the trailer for upcoming Cold War thriller “Winter of the Crow,” from director Kasia Adamik and set against the turmoil of 1981 Warsaw.
Alongside releasing the official trailer, Cohen Media Group has also announced that the film will release theatrically nationwide on Oct 9.
Inspired by Nobel Prize-winning author Olga Tokarczuk’s highly acclaimed “Professor Andrews Goes to Warsaw,” “Winter of the Crows” stars Manville as Joan Andrews, a British psychiatry professor who travels to Warsaw in December 1981 as a guest lecturer at a local university. When Martial Law is suddenly imposed and the country shuts down overnight, Joan finds herself trapped in an increasingly dangerous and unfamiliar world.
