Everett Collection “The Odyssey” ruled the South Korean box office during the weekend of Aug. 14–16.
According to data from KOBIS, the tracking service operated by the Korean Film Council, the Christopher Nolan-directed tentpole generated $13.2 million from 1,691,744 admissions over the three-day frame across 2,114 screens, capturing 59.07% of the total weekend market. The film grew its sophomore session by nearly 28%, lifting its cumulative South Korean gross to $35.2 million from 4,542,480 total admissions since its Aug. 5 rollout.
