Fans are worried after Kate Beckinsale posted some cryptic messages on social media, writing, “I give up.”

On Sunday morning, in since-deleted posts that have been reposted by fans on X, the Underworld actress initially shared an image with the word “bye” in white lettering against a black backdrop on her Instagram feed. She then posted a photo on her Instagram Story of a street with a rainbow in the background, with “Congratulations you won. I give up,” written over it.

The Hollywood Reporter reached out to Beckinsale’s rep for clarification on the posts, but did not hear back at the time of publication.

Fans took to X to express their concerns, with one user writing, “Is Kate Beckinsale ok? I hope she’s just quitting social media…” Another person added, “Please if anyone knows Kate Beckinsale personally PLEASE PLEASE check on her.”

Beckinsale’s Sunday morning social media posts came after she reportedly wiped her Instagram last month. The Love & Friendship actress also recently opened up about her experience with post-traumatic stress disorder. PTSD is a “mental health condition that’s caused by an extremely stressful or terrifying event — either being part of it or witnessing it,” according to the Mayo Clinic.

In a since-deleted Instagram video from earlier in September, Beckinsale said that “people have seen or experienced levels of horror, terror, violence” don’t “just dream about incessantly, so there’s no rest. They see it when they blink. Every time they close their eyes for a second and those people aren’t recognized as heroes.”

“Given the fact that it’s invisible and you can’t know, maybe err on being on the gentler side with people, being kinder with people,” she added at the time. “It really is true that if you haven’t walked a mile in someone’s shoes — however fancy you feel the shoes are — you have absolutely no idea what they may be carrying or masking or dealing with day and night.”

Beckinsale has also been candid about navigating her struggles following her mother Judy Loe’s death in July 2025 after a battle with stage IV cancer. People reported that she previously shared on her Instagram dozens of negative comments she’s received about her appearance amid her grief.
