Karol G claimed her Latin music crown on Sunday when she headlined Coachella. The Colombian singer became the first Latina to headline the festival and it’s already paying off in Spotify streams.

Karol’s global streams on Spotify saw a 14.3 percent increase, while her U.S. streams spiked more than double of that with a 35 percent increase. The singer’s “This Is” playlist also saw a big surge, with 190 percent more streams in the U.S. and 60 percent globally. The significant difference between the U.S. streams and global streams increase shows just how audiences in the state are resonating with the Colombian singer.

For her historic set, Karol G tore threw 20 tracks, including hits “TQG” and “Amargura.” She also brought out special guests Mariah Angeliq, who joined Karol for their hit song “El Makinon,” and Becky G returned to her side at Coachella for a mariachi version of “Mamii.” Karol also used the special moment to debut her new collaboration with Cigarettes After Sex, “Después de Ti.”

The singer went all out for her set design, creating a unique spectacle with a cave-like set-up, a giant Macaw bird, and light-up pool. With such an intricate design, her team needed more time to complete the setup, delaying her set time. The singer cut “Si Antes te Hubiera Conocido” halfway through in order to fit “Provenza” into the set list; it’s the same track she debuted during her set at Coachella 2022. The track’s performance yielded a show-stopping moment, which Karol basked in with fireworks and a colorful light show before wrapping up the performance. The move paid off, the “Provenza” remix featuring Tiesto saw the biggest spike of her catalog with streams jumping 139 percent.
