Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas was spotted Monday on Capitol Hill, amid the high court releasing a slate of opinions before it heads on recess for the summer.

While Thomas, surrounded by a Metropolitan Police Department officer and another man, was walking through the House side of the Capitol, the justice told MS NOW’s Mychael Schnell he was meeting with “nobody.”

When asked with whom he met, Thomas replied, “I’m not going to tell you about [that].”

The longest-serving current justice also opted not to comment on pending cases before the court.

The Hill has reached out to the Supreme Court for comment.

Politico’s Meredith Lee Hill reported Republicans believe Thomas, 78, was visiting the doctor’s office. Adm. Brian Monahan, the attending physician of Congress and the Supreme Court, has an office on the House side of the Capitol.

The high court will hand down its final opinions of the term Tuesday, with decisions pending on President Trump’s restrictions on birthright citizenship, whether states can bar transgender athletes from competing in girls and women’s school sports, and how much money candidates can spend in coordination with their political party.

On Monday, the high court blocked Trump from immediately removing Lisa Cook from the Federal Reserve board of governors, ruled states can accept mail ballots after Election Day so long as they are postmarked by Election Day, and allowed the president to fire Federal Trade Commission member Rebecca Slaughter, among other decisions.

A spokesperson for House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) told The Hill the Louisiana Republican did not meet with Thomas on Monday. Johnson spent multiple hours at the White House earlier in the day.

The Hill has also reached out to a spokesperson for House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) regarding whether he met with Thomas.
