Courtesy of Warner Bros. Pictures Jonny Greenwood, Alexandre Desplat and Hildur Guðnadóttir are among the nominees for Film Composer of the Year at the 26th edition of the World Soundtrack Awards, which takes place on Oct. 10.
Greenwood, Radiohead’s lead guitarist, was the composer for Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another.” His film scoring career has been defined by “tension-filled orchestrations” for “Phantom Thread” and “The Power of the Dog,” the event said. For “One Battle After Another,” he channeled that signature style into a “nerve-shredding” score.
