After a long and emotional health battle, Jessie J is now cancer-free.

The singer announced the news alongside a social media video, sharing the moments leading up to her yearly health checkup following a breast MRI. In the caption of the post, she gave fans the joyful update: “RESULTS ARE IN AND I AM CANCER FREE!! I sobbed for hours and then exhaled for the first time in a year.”

Jessie has been candid about her health journey, detailing her “lows and highs” throughout her fight with the disease. In June 2025, the artist first shared that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and at the time said that although she was “going back and forth” over whether she should reveal the news or not, she ultimately decided that she wanted to “share it with my fans and the people that care about me.”

Last August, she cancelled all U.S. dates of her No Secrets tour and postponed her U.K. and European shows ahead of her second surgery. The following month, Jessie took to the stage for the first time following her procedure, a heartfelt moment that also marked the first time her two-year-old son saw her perform live. “I’m just so grateful to be here, you have no idea how grateful I am to see so many of you singing along after all these years,” she told the crowd gathered at BBC Radio 2 In the Park festival in Essex.

Before Jessie began to sing her new track “Living My Best Life,” she shared some insight into why the song held a special meaning for her. “Some of you may know it, some of you may not know it, but what this song’s about, I was diagnosed literally two weeks before this song was released, and everyone said, ‘Let’s stop, let’s just put everything on hold,’ and I said, ‘That’s not what life’s about.’” She continued, “Life is about standing in the storm but holding up your umbrella and just keep moving forward.”

“So this song is called ‘Living My Best Life,’ and that is what I’m doing every single damn day. ‘Cause we never know when our last day will be, so soak this up, hug the people you love hard,” she said.
