Gilbert Flores/Variety Jennifer Lawrence revealed on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast that she once discovered while filming a nude scene that there were crew members on set who were not approved to be there during the filming of such intimate material. The incident prompted Lawrence to “come down hard” on the crew and remains one of the definitive moments in her acting career that taught her the importance of speaking out.
When asked if she’s gotten more comfortable over the years in advocating for herself, Lawrence responded: “You have to be malleable. That’s part of the job. When Lynne Ramsay for ‘Die My Love’ says cut your hair and get mullet bangs and dye it platinum blonde… that’s the gig. You have to be malleable. But I definitely speak up more now because I am aware of the place I have in the industry.”
