Jeffrey Chassen Jonny Marlow Longtime Hollywood PR executive Jeffrey Chassen is setting up his own shop. The publicist, most recently head of Los Angeles operations for Vision PR, has launched Gingham PR.
The boutique agency will see Chassen aiming to blend client service with broader strategies in response to the evolving demands of talent, brands and cultural institutions. “I am deeply grateful for the myriad of experience and relationships that I have developed over the years from all of the amazing publicists and clients with whom I have had the privilege to work,” says Chassen. “I have always felt that I ran at a bit of a different cadence from traditional personal PR, offering clients a broader spectrum of strategy and deliverables. I am extremely excited to showcase my personal style now, in full, within my own framework. Launching Gingham PR allows me to fully realize that vision and deliver my approach in a more focused, bespoke way for clients.”
Chassen is the latest respected PR professional in the entertainment industry to go it alone in recent years. Multiple high-profile publicists have departed larger firms to launch their own companies — 2PM Sharp, Herrera-Reiss Strategies and Birch Public Relations among them.
Prior to Vision, Chassen spent more than a decade at BWR Public Relations where he eventually served as vice present of talent and was a founding publicist and VP at imPRint. In 2019, he segued into production and served as head of development for Nikolaj Coster-Waldau’s ILL Kippers Productions.
Clients expected to follow him include Daniella Pineda, Dyllon Burnside, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Genevieve Angelson, Jimmi Simpson, John Hoogenakker, Joy Bryant, Kiele Sanchez, Luke Macfarlane, Mark Feuerstein, Michael Barbieri among many others.
