Swift’s whirlwind romance with Kelce, who proposed to her last August, marked a happily ever after for the singer after some not-so-successful relationships.
The upbeat occasion delighted fans, many of whom have been with Swift on her journey for decades. Fans celebrated the nuptials on social media, as well as in person, with a crowd of very dedicated Swifties waiting patiently outside MSG to spot the couple.
For some, the aspirational quality of the event was deeply satisfying. “The thought of Taylor Swift putting on a wedding dress today to get married is actually making me emotional,” one fan shared. Another wrote, “hope my close personal friend taylor swift is having the best possible day, i hope everything goes perfectly. I cant believe THE royal wedding is happening.”
