'Into the Deep Blue' Ian Watson Logo text The Hollywood Reporter can reveal an exclusive first look (above) at YA romance Into the Deep Blue, with Maxton Hall star Damian Hardung and Ginny & Georgia‘s Sara Waisglass.
Also starring in the Constantin Film production from director Jonathan Wright are Erika Prevost (The Boys), Luke Macfarlane (Platonic), Samantha Brown (From), Bryce Winter (The Handmaid’s Tale) and Colm Feore (Landman).
North.five.six handles worldwide sales at Cannes, with production recently wrapping in Canada. Constantin Film is executive producing and is a financier on the film.

Written by Jennifer Archer, based on her debut novel of the same name, Into the Deep Blue follows best friends Nick and Fiona. Bonded by loss, they find their relationship tested on a weekend road trip that forces them to choose between the safety of their friendship and the vulnerability of falling in love. Archer’s screenplay for the project earned her the 2022 Nicholl Fellowship from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Michael Baker (Awakening the Zodiac) for Bunk 11 Pictures, Jennifer Archer and Jonathan Wright are producers. Executive producers are Oliver Berben and Robert Kulzer for Constantin Film and Michael Rothstein and Samuel Hall for North.five.six.
Wright is best known for the 2017 thriller Awakening the Zodiac with Shane West and Leslie Bibb, which he also co-wrote with Archer and Mike Horrigan. Hardung’s last film was released in 2023, Stella. A Life., a German feature from Killian Riedhof. Waisglass was most recently on the big screen in 2023’s Suze and also stars in 2026’s How to Lose a Popularity Contest.
