Courtesy of Independent Film Company Independent Film Company (formerly known as IFC Films) has acquired the U.S. and Canadian rights to Georgia Bernstein’s debut feature “Night Nurse,” which premiered earlier this year at Sundance.
Set for a July 10 release date, the psychosexual thriller explores a darker side to caregiving. With a cast rounded out by Bruce McKenzie (“Breaking Bad”), Mimi Rogers (“Ginger Snaps”) and Cemre Paksoy (“The Affair”), the film follows a retirement community disrupted by a series of scam calls as a nurse (Paksoy) becomes entangled with her mysterious patient (McKenzie). Bernstein directs from her own script.
