The Drop: A Snowfall Saga is picking up where its predecessor left off, following Wanda (Gail Bean) and Leon (Isaiah John) in 1990 Los Angeles. The drama premieres over three years after Snowfall concluded its 60-episode run, which centered around the birth of the 1980s crack cocaine epidemic in South Central. Now, the franchise transitions its key focus from the drug game to the music industry, namely the rise of West Coast rap.
