The 52nd American Music Awards nominees have been announced ahead of the show on May 25.
Taylor Swift leads the nominations list this year with eight nods, including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year. Sabrina Carpenter, Morgan Wallen, Olivia Dean, and Sombr follow the pop superstar with seven nominations each.
This year, the AMAs will be held at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas — a first for the awards show. Last year’s show was held at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, which was its first time outside of Los Angeles. Queen Latifah will return as host 31 years after performing the role in 1995. “I am so excited to return to the American Music Awards stage to host this year,” Latifah said in a statement. “It’s been an incredible year for music and there is no better place to celebrate than in Vegas.”
At a Glance: Where to Buy Tickets to the AMAs
- Tickets: AXS
- Date: Monday, May 25
The 2026 AMAs will be broadcast by CBS with streaming available on Paramount+, but, unlike most awards shows, the AMAs are open to the public. Tickets are available now through AXS, with prices currently starting at $156 for upper-level seating, around $259 for middle-level stubs, and $460 for floor seats.
Doors for the AMAs are at 3:30 p.m. local time, and AXS says guests should be in their seats by 4:45 p.m. since it’s a televised event. Late arrivals will be able to enter during commercial breaks.
Swift’s domination of the AMA categories is no surprise after the success of the singer’s 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. The album went platinum five times over — more than double the next most successful album, Cardi B’s Am I the Drama?, which went triple platinum. The Life of a Showgirl also made Swift the first and only female musical artist to sell more than 100 million records.
Still, sales don’t mean awards. Other top-nomination-getters at the AMAs, like Carpenter, Wallen, Dean, and Sombr, have good chances of going home with awards. Alex Warren, Ella Langley, Katseye, Leon Thomas, Dean, and Sombr are this year’s New Artist of the Year nominees.
Be sure to buy tickets to the 52nd American Music Awards now at AXS, or tune in from home on May 25.
