Fresh off making history as the first woman to take on the role of Harold Zidler in Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Broadway, Megan Thee Stallion is stepping into another venture, teaming up once again with denim brand True Religion for a new clothing campaign.

Titled Make It True, the three-part drop leans all the way into a Y2K vibe, with a lineup of tops and bottoms priced from around $40 to $149.80. The pieces channel Megan’s Grammy-winning “Hot Girl” aesthetic: think body-hugging booty shorts, studded tanks, and loud animal prints.

Offstage, Megan’s name has been circulating for more personal reasons. Reports recently surfaced that she and longtime boyfriend Klay Thompson have split, with allegations of infidelity on his part. Megan took to social media to air her side, prompting an immediate wave of support from fans who’ve long felt a tight, if parasocial, bond with the Houston rapper.

In true “Savage form,” she’s pushing forward, drawing standing ovations in the Al Hirschfeld Theatre while expanding her branding empire. We caught up with Megan to talk True Religion and her leap into theater.

Your campaign with True Religion is all about self-expression. What does that look like for you at this stage in your career? It’s all about staying authentic and using my platform to inspire others to do the same. Social media can make people feel like they have to chase someone else’s idea of success, but I want to show others that you can reach your goals and excel at a high level without compromising yourself or your integrity.

How did you make sure this campaign felt authentic to you? When I partner with brands, there has to be an authentic connection that resonates with me personally. I’ve been a fan of the True Religion brand since I was a kid, so collaborating with them for their Spring 2026 campaign was a no-brainer. They’ve been great partners, and I appreciate having the creative space to bring my ideas to life with them.

The campaign leans into bold silhouettes. How does that connect to the “Hot Girl” mindset? It connects perfectly because the Hot Girl lifestyle is all about unapologetic confidence and self-expression. I’ve always advocated for that, so it naturally shows up in every aspect of my life and career — from my brand partnerships to my music to my different business ventures.

You made history as the first woman to play Zidler in Moulin Rouge! The Musical. What did it feel like stepping onto that stage? Honestly, I just felt honored, proud, and excited to have that opportunity. I really wanted to bring a new type of energy, personality, and voice to Zidler, and I’m so grateful to the cast and crew for empowering me to truly make the character my own. They’ve been incredibly supportive during this transition and helped me adjust to the learning curve.

What was the biggest challenge transitioning from performing in arenas to performing in a Broadway theater? Broadway is a different grind. With Moulin Rouge!, I’m performing eight shows a week with only one day off, so it requires a different level of physical and mental preparation and discipline, but I absolutely love the challenge. The other major change is that you’re building a much different connection with the audience on Broadway compared to performing in arenas. It’s a more intimate experience, but it’s been such an exciting change of pace.

After this Broadway run, do you see yourself doing more theater? Right now, I’m just taking it one day at a time with Moulin Rouge! and living in the moment. This experience is so unique and special, so I want to make sure I’m staying present, growing in my role as Zidler, strengthening the chemistry with the cast, and soaking it all in.
