Jay-Z hasn’t done a solo tour in nearly a decade, which is why his return to the stage was met with so much fanfare — and frustration from fans who weren’t able to snag tickets. Hov will perform his classic debut Reasonable Doubt on July 10 and The Blueprint on July 11 at Yankee Stadium, marking the albums’ 30th and 25th anniversaries, respectively.
Tickets for the performances, which went on sale on March 24, sold out quickly. The demand led to a third show being added on July 12, which is billed as “Extra Innings.” The third date, likewise, sold out on Ticketmaster, with only resale tickets available.

The July Yankee Stadium shows won’t be the only chance to see Jay-Z’s return to the stage — he’ll headline the Roots Picnic on May 30 in Philadelphia.
Jay-Z hasn’t released an album since 2018’s collaborative effort with Beyoncé, Everything Is Love, and his last solo album was 2017’s 4:44. Beyond that, he’s popped up on the occasional guest verse and had a smattering of appearances, including on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour, but has otherwise kept a low profile for much of the last half decade.
Of course, that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been busy, as the rapper and business mogul’s company Roc Nation has served as producer for the Super Bowl halftime show, leading to acclaimed performances from artists like Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, and Bad Bunny.
