‘Heated Rivalry’ Sets ‘Deluxe’ Edition Book Release With New Covers, Bonus Content and Easter Eggs for Fans

The new season of Heated Rivalry isn’t scheduled to premiere until 2027, but fans of the horny hockey romance have something new to look forward to, with the release of two “deluxe” editions of the bestselling book the show is based on.

Amazon has a hardcover deluxe edition of Heated Rivalry available for pre-order that features new gallery-inspired cover art with a bold new title card in gold (with a shimmery effect). The pages, meantime, have metallic gold sprayed edges, and the book comes with stamped foil casing and full-color character art endpapers.

This is the first time the Heated Rivalry books have been released on hardcover (they were previously only available on paperback).

This deluxe edition comes out on September 29 but is available to pre-order now on Amazon.com for 15% off the listed price. Amazon’s Pre-Order Price Guarantee promises that you’ll be charged whatever the lowest price is between the time you place your order and the end of the day of the release date.

Amazon also has deluxe editions of the Heated Rivalry books available on paperback. The so-called “deluxe trade paperback edition” features enhanced covers and sprayed edges that reveal an iconic quote from each book. Publisher Afterglow Books (a division of Harlequin) also teases “Rachel Reid-approved bonus features for fans.”

The paperback deluxe edition of Heated Rivalry releases on October 27, 2026 but you can pre-order it now on Amazon for 27% off. Harlequin says this is a limited-edition release, making it a great pick-up for fans and collectors alike.

You can pick up deluxe paper editions of all the books in Reid’s Game Changers series, which currently has six titles in total. The author confirmed that she is working on a seventh book, titled Unrivaled, due out next year.

Of course, the book series spawned the now-pop culture phenomenon TV show of the same name, which stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams. On Harlequin’s official Instagram page, fans have asked whether the books will be re-released with images of the actors on the cover, but the publishers have not currently revealed plans to do so.

Fans can also look forward to a new book from series creator Jacob Tierney, which features the official scripts, and reveals behind-the-scenes secrets from the show. Titled I’ll Believe in Anything: The Making of Heated Rivalry, the non-fiction tell-all drops October 13.
