Warner Bros. Entertainment Move over, quidditch: “Harry Potter” is sending thousands of drones into the sky to celebrate the franchise. Timed to the franchise’s 25th anniversary, Warner Bros. Discovery’s Global Experiences division has teamed up with Fever to launch “DroneArt Show: Harry Potter.” The open-air event kicks off in Los Angeles on June 13 as part of a larger “Harry Potter” celebration. After that, the drone show will continue its global tour, hitting at least 26 cities.
The show will consist of 1,200 drones that light up into formations of characters, scenes and locations from the “Harry Potter” films. A live violinist accompanies the show, while audience members will also be given LED wristbands to participate.
