Grace Coddington isn’t particularly interested in slowing down. “Life goes on, and just because I’m a bit older doesn’t mean I’m stopping,” she tells Variety over Zoom from her Chelsea apartment.
Her fire-engine-red hair, now cut chin-length and swept into a side part, stands in striking contrast to her ivory skin, nearly matching the deep maroon of her freshly applied lipstick. “It’s gotten redder!” she exclaims, explaining that her signature mane remains an easy calling card for fans who stop her on the street — recognition she credits entirely to her appearance in R.J. Cutler’s 2009 documentary “The September Issue.”
