Glover quashes Aimpoint protest rumours following shoe removal

Lucas Glover insisted that kicking off his shoes during a recent PGA Tour event was to prevent spike marks, rather than ‌a silent protest against the AimPoint putting technique.

The former U.S. Open champion took off his shoes before walking across the water's edge in his socks to retrieve his ball after draining a 10-foot birdie putt on the par-four 10th hole during the final round of the 3M Open in Minnesota.
