Christian Fuchs has resigned as manager of Newport County after just seven months in charge of the League Two club.
The former Austria defender joined the Exiles last November to replace the sacked David Hughes.
Fuchs, a Premier League winner with Leicester, steps down just eight weeks after helping County avoid relegation from the Football League on the last day of the season.
However, the 40-year-old has walked away on the eve of pre-season to leave County hunting their fourth boss in just over two years.
"Newport County can confirm Christian Fuchs has made the decision to step away from his role as manager," the club said in a statement.
"Everyone at Newport County would like to thank Christian for his hard work, commitment and professionalism, and wish him every success for the future."

The Exiles players are due to return for pre-season training on Monday before kicking off the 2026-27 season with a Carabao Cup game at AFC Wimbledon on the weekend of 8 August before a League Two opener against Rochdale a week later.
Newport have made six signings in a rebuild for the new campaign - Harrison Biggins, Christian Doidge, Cameron Norman, Dan Sassi, Shaquille Gwengwe and Yahya Bamba - but have also lost key figures Bobby Kamwa and Matt Baker at the end of their contracts.
Chairman Huw Jenkins was plotting for the season under Fuchs but is now searching for a fourth boss of his ownership of the club following the departures of Graham Coughlan, Nelson Jardim and Hughes before the Austrian.
It is the third successive summer that there has been a managerial change at Rodney Parade.
