Miami County Sheriff Department Caleb Flynn, a former contestant on “American Idol,” was found guilty of murdering his wife in their Ohio home. A jury deliberated for around two hours on Tuesday and convicted him on all nine counts that he faced of of murder, assault and tampering with evidence.
On the morning of Monday, Feb. 16, Ashley Flynn, 37, was found dead in the couple’s Ohio home in Tipp City. Caleb, 40, called 911 around 2:30 a.m. and said that someone had broken into their home and shot Ashley, who was pronounced dead at the scene. According to local outlets, Caleb told police that he didn’t see anybody in the home, but his garage door was open. Police reportedly found a side door to the garage that was open and that there was fridge in front of the door that would’ve needed to be pushed to open it. Caleb was booked into the Miami County Jail on the following Thursday.
