Getty Images The Netflix limited series adaptation of “Enigma Variations” has officially been greenlit, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson set for the lead role.
The TV version of “Call Me by Your Name” author André Aciman’s novel was originally reported to be in the works at the streamer in January 2025, though Jeremy Allen White was originally attached to play the lead role of Paul at that time.
Now, fellow three name actor Taylor-Johnson will take on the part, with A.K. Shuman attached to write, executive produce, and serve as showrunner. Oliver Hermanus will direct and executive produce. Media Res is the studio, with Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer executive producing on behalf of the company. Aciman will executive produce as well alongside Monica Levinson.
