‘Emily in Paris’ Will End With Season 6 on Netflix

Netflix‘s Emily in Paris will say adieu with its forthcoming sixth season.

As the series begins filming season six in Greece, Netflix said Thursday that it will bring Emily in Paris to a close. Emily in Paris joins two other relatively long-running and popular Netflix series, The Lincoln Lawyer and The Night Agent, that the streamer has announced will end with their next seasons.

Netflix picked up a sixth season of the show in January, after season five ended with Emily (Lily Collins) choosing to return to Paris after opening a Rome office of the marketing agency she works for and starting (and ending) a new romantic relationship.

“I think ultimately [Paris is] where her heart was, and it clarified for her the fact that she wants to be in Paris and she wants to live there, and it’s not a temporary thing,” series creator Darren Star told The Hollywood Reporter about the season five finale.

In a statement Thursday, Star said of the series ending, “Making Emily in Paris with this extraordinary cast and crew has been the trip of a lifetime. As we embark on the final season, I am so grateful to Netflix, Paramount, and most importantly, the fans who have taken this incredible journey with us. We can’t wait to share this last chapter with you. Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives, inspiring your dreams of travel and your love of Paris. We will always have Emily in Paris.”

Said Collins in a video announcing the final season (watch it below), “Season six will bring you everything you love about the show and serve as the final chapter in Emily’s adventure of a lifetime. Our entire cast and crew are pouring our hearts into making this a fantastic farewell season.”

Season five of Emily in Paris spent five weeks in Netflix’s worldwide top 10 for English-language series. The streamer’s internal data says the series recorded 250 million views (total viewing hours divided by running time) from 2023-25.
