The content creator, who you can see in a few clips atop the sculpture last night chipping away at the ice, went live this afternoon, where he showed viewers a blue waterproof bag before driving to Drake’s house, where he was allegedly gifted $100,000, as well as the news that the album is set to arrive May 15th.
Drake has been teasing Iceman since last summer, when he took to YouTube and live-streamed the first of three episodes of his Iceman series, a mysterious noir featuring special guests like Central Cee and Yeat. Then, last week, Drake’s courtside Toronto Raptors seats were decorated to look frozen in a subtle promo for the record. On Monday, Drake installed a giant ice sculpture in Downtown Toronto, posting to his Instagram that the release date was inside. The move quickly drew crowds of fans eager to uncover the hidden message.
One such fan, Twitch streamer Kishka, came equipped with blowtorches and sledgehammers, ready to get to work. Clips from his stream on Tuesday show him pulling a blue bag out of the ice, revealing the release date.
