Thomas Whiteside / trunkarchive. Demi Moore will turn up the heat in Amazon MGM’s new culinary thriller “Tyrant,” alongside Charlize Theron and Julia Garner.
The Oscar-nominated star of “The Substance” has accepted a key role in the project, Variety has learned exclusively. The film is said to be a high-stakes thriller set within New York City’s elite fine dining scene.
Moore is coming off an incredible run from “The Substance,” having delivered a career-best performance as a fading star who turns to a mysterious drug to reclaim her youth and glory. She nabbed a Golden Globe and Critics Choice Award in the process, and will next be seen in Boots Riley’s “I Love Boosters” in late May. She’s also part of the Taylor Sheridan TV universe, appearing on the top-rated series “Landman.”
