Dan Stevens has joined season two of the Michael C. Hall-starring Paramount+ Dexter sequel series in a series regular role — and he’s playing a serial killer. Stevens will play “The Five Borough Killer,” a serial killer who, much like the Zodiac killer, taunts the police with phone calls threatening the murder of innocent citizens. When he follows through with the awful deeds … the city and the police are terrorized, reads the character description.

Stevens joins the recently announced Brian Cox, who will play “The New York Ripper,” a serial killer who terrorized the city years ago. Uma Thurman will also reprise her role as Charley, the former special ops officer who fled the city last season.
The series from showrunner and executive producer Clyde Phillips stars Hall in the titular role of Dexter Morgan. The sequel series resurrected Dexter after the events of Dexter: New Blood.
Stevens most recently starred in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire and indie film Cuckoo. He next will lead and executive producer the horror limited anthology series, The Terror: Devil in Silver, reunite with Adam Wingard for the film Onslaught and appear in Babies, directed by Lauren Miller Rogan.
